0voteA: The first step when replacing the relief vale is you need to turn the water off to the flushometer. This is done at the control stop and you will need a flat blade screwdriver. Once the water is turned off, flush the valve to get the water out of the valve. Using the Sloan Super Wrench or an adjustable wrench that doesn't have any teeth (a wrench with teeth can chip the chrome plating off of the valve) remove the top cover of the valve. Underneath the top cover is a black plastic cover that can be pulled out with your hands. The relief valve is under the black plastic cover and can be removed with your hands. If needed you may need to pull the complete diaphragm kit out of the valve body with your hands to change out the relief valve.Posted by Kully Supply on Friday, November 30, 2012
