Q: I have an issue with one of our Sloan Solis units that flushes for nearly 30 seconds and then shuts off. Most typically run 5 to 6 seconds and stop. This is a brand new install and only a few weeks old. Can you tell me if this is a mechanical issue or an electrical problem?

A: It may be that there is debris in the diaphragm causing this issue. Below is a link to the maintenance guide for the Sloan Solis. The troubleshooting guide is on page 8, and this particular problem is #6 on that guide. www.sloanplumbingparts.com/pdf/sloan/solis%20flush.pdf
